Comedy and Curry Night at The Lyric Rooms
The Lyric Rooms is back with their popular Comedy and Curry Night on Sunday 22 March.
This week's line-up features: Live at the Apollo's Scott Bennett, Edinburgh Festival Perrier Award winner Phil Nichol, Paralympic dressage rider come stand up comedian Ricky Balshaw, and Dawn Bailey.
That's the comedy sorted, now for the curry. For just £10 enjoy an authentic, flavour-packed curry with fluffy rice, warm naan and a crispy onion bhaji.

Ashby 20
This weekend is the return of the Ashby 20, where 15,000 runners will be taking part in a 20-mile race from Ashby, to Packington, Swepstone, Heather and Normanton-le-Heath, before ending at the Bath Grounds in Ashby.
This local event is completely organised and run by volunteers and invites spectators to cheer on runners along the route.

Weekends at Brew
As always, Brew on Ashby's Market Street have a busy weekend planned.
On Saturday from 5 to 8pm, they have Calientes Mexican Street Food serving up delicious food, perfect to be washed down with a refreshing pint (or two).
On Sunday, The Modest are performing at Brew from 3pm. The Modest are a brand-new duo performing Mod, Soul and Ska Classic and are sure to be a welcome addition to Brew's Sunday music performers.
Ashby Congregational Church Coffee Morning
Ashby Congregational Church are holding a coffee morning on Saturday 21 March between 10am and 12pm.
Join them for coffee, tea, biscuits and cake, as well as the opportunity to have a proper chat and even meet some new people!
