Ashby 20 is taking place on Saturday 20 March, causing a lot of road closures and one way systems in place, as well as increased traffic and congestion in the area.

Traffic measures will be in place, all for different durations and to differing extents, with one way systems in place along the route stopping traffic driving in the direction of the run.

The traffic measures are as follows:

• Closure - Upper Packington Road from Leicester Road to Lower Packington Road, Ashby - from 9.55 to 10.05am
• One way - Ashby Road from Lower Packington Road to Mill Street in Packington - from 10 to 10.10
• Closure - Mill Street, Packington - 9.05 to 10.15am
• One way - Measham Road to Five Lane Ends - from 9am to 12 noon
• One way - Gallows Lane - from 9am to 1.30pm
• One way - Swepstone Road to Main Street, Heather - 9am to 1.30pm
• Partial closure - Main Street, Heather open in both directions with a 1 metre strip coned off for runners - from 9am to 1.30pm
• One way - Normanton Road through Normanton to Heather Lane, Packington - from 9am to 2.10pm
• One way - Packington High Street from 9am to 2.15pm

According to Ashby 20 organisers, 'marshals will use their discretion to allow residents in and out, always taking safety of runners and vehicles into account.'

Officially, the Temporary Traffic Order is until 5pm and roads will close and reopen in sequence to keep the closures and disruption to a minimum.
