This weekend sees the return of the Ashby Arts Festival weekend, based at Ivanhoe School in North Street.
Every summer Ashby de la Zouch hosts an Arts Festival which features local artists, musicians, songwriters, poets, performers and storytellers. The festival links amateurs and professionals, the commercial and the public sectors together through public displays of drama performances, street theatre, music, poetry, workshops, arts and photography.
Many locations around the town host exhibitions, musical performances, workshops and talks. There are events aimed at all ages and all abilities. You are invited to get involved.
And, of course, the outdoor gallery has been on display for some weeks now.

Ashby's monthly Artisan Market is back on Sunday in Brook Street (pictured above).
This is where the heart of Ashby comes alive. Shop local, meet talented artisans, and connect with your community.
You can buy fresh, locally sourced produce, unique artisan goods you won't find elsewhere and there is a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. It all happens between 10-2pm.

The Modskas are playing live on Friday, with Fast Trax on Saturday night.
In Boundary, The Greyhound has The Detroits playing live on Saturday night.
The Detroits are a Motown/Soul/Northern Soul band from Burton upon Trent.
