This weekend sees the Ashby de la Zouch Arts Festival with a number of events lined up over Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, the Venture Theatre in North Street has a musical evening with headliners The Lost Notes from Birmingham, supported by Three Rivers Gang.

Also on Saturday, you can join popular local artist Surenne Marshall for an entertaining and informative painting demonstration using oils to paint still life flowers. Painting live Surenne will talk you through her tools.

And also on Saturday, there is a Making Flip Books session with Di Lorriman.

There is also going to be a one-hour Write your own Life Story session on Saturday.

On Sunday, there is an Artist Trading Card Swap.
