The footpath and cycleway along the A511 north of Ashby will be closed until early July.

The continuing works to construct the new Money Hill housing estate have forced the temporary closure.

It is expected to be blocked off to pedestrians and cyclists until July 3.

The route is listed as being between Discovery Way and access to Bridleway O88 - approximately 1,000m north-west of Discovery Way

There are set to be additional road and footway closures and notice will be issued to confirm these details approximately two weeks prior to the works commencing.

During the closures, alternative routes available to all traffic can be viewed.

This section of the Ashby Bypass will see restrictions in place for around 30 weeks following the commencement of work on Money Hill in April.

An entrance road to what will be the new 600-home estate is currently taking shape - but the plan is to build a new roundabout on the A511 to connect it to the bypass.
