Full details of Ashby By-pass restrictions confirmed ahead of work beginning on Money Hill estate

Full details have been released of the road closures and restrictions affecting the A511 when work starts on the new Money Hill estate.

Construction of a new roundabout and road leading into what will eventually become the housing development is due to begin in early April.

Ashby de la Zouch Town Council announced the schedule this morning (Tuesday) and this is what to expect

  • 20:00, April 10 to 05.00 April 11

A road closure is required on A511 between Discovery Way and Smisby Road for one night to facilitate installation of traffic management.

  • 05:00 April 11 for approximately 30 weeks

A511 Ashby Bypass between Discovery Way and Smisby Road:

A northbound lane one (crawler lane) closure, a temporary speed restriction of 40mph, and prohibition of right turns on to and off of A511.

Temporary prohibition of left turn from Discovery Way to A511 Ashby Bypass heading north towards Swadlincote.

  • April 11 to April 17

A511 Ashby Bypass Footway/Cycleway

Full closure between Discovery Way and access to Bridleway O88 approximately 1,000m north-west of Discovery Way

  • Road Closure 20:00 10th April to 05:00 11th April, more details HERE
