This September marks the 807th Ashby Statutes, with the iconic funfair returning to Market Street and Brook Street between Friday 12 September and Tuesday 16 September.

The fair always brings a mix of nostalgic traditional rides and more modern versions for thrill seekers, along with food stalls, fun games and family activities.

As always, due to the size of the fair, Statutes does cause a certain amount of chaos in town centre.

From 12.01am on Friday 12 September to 9am on Wednesday 17 September, Market Street and Brook Street will be closed, with a one way traffic system in place including: Lower Church Street, South Street, North Street, Derby Road and Bath Street.

There will also be parking restrictions on Lower Church Street, Bath Street and Trinity Close.

It is important to note that there will be a lot of congestion and delays in town centre, especially around rush hour and school starting and ending times.
