Ashby’s Rebound Inflatable Park has been told it cannot yet reopen due to revised Government Covid-19 guidelines.

The Park has been one of the town’s most successful ventures.

In February, we reported that the Smisby Road venue was approaching a seven-figure turnover Ashby venue enjoys a rebound of its own.

But then lockdown came a month later and Rebound was forced to close despite efforts to stay open as long as possible Ashby company moves to reassure visitors.

The venue had hoped to re-open as part of an easing of lockdown measures.

But a Government re-think this week due to spikes in the Coronavirus spread in certain areas, meant the brakes were applied and North West Leicestershire District Council had to apply the renewed guidelines.

A message on Rebound’s Facebook page reads: “Following on from the Government announcement today, we received a phone call from the local council advising us that this will now apply to us and that we must remain closed.

“As you can imagine this is very disappointing for us however we will of course take the guidance to keep people safe.

“If you have a booking with us between now and the 14th August, please email us [email protected] with your booking name, date and amount paid.

“We will then reply with your options. As you can imagine where possible we would appreciate rescheduling bookings.

“Thank you to everyone for your support and we hope we can reopen soon.”
