Ashby's Marks & Spencer Foodhall is among a string of the store's branches set to reopen its cafe on Monday.

A further 102 cafes in the UK are due to be open - including the one at Smithy Road, just off Nottingham Road in Ashby.

And the Express reports that customers will be able to enjoy new low prices at the branches.

Marks has been opening more branches all over the UK for dine-in and takeaway options.

New safety measures have been put in place according to a statement from Marks & Spencer below.

Social distancing measures

•Hand sanitiser stations at or near the entrance of every café

•Clear signage throughout the café to encourage social distancing

•Perspex screens installed at every café till, with M&S continuing to encourage contactless payments

•Hand-washing every 30 minutes for colleagues, with additional washing immediately after handling cash

•All tables minimum of one metres apart, while two metres distance encouraged where possibleIndividual condiments instead of shared bottles

•All trays, tables and chairs sanitised by colleagues after every use

As well as more cafés open for dine-ins, an additional 17 branches will also open up for takeaway only.

When visiting branches, customers will get to enjoy new low prices.

The retailer has passed on the savings of the hospitality VAT cuts which means shoppers will get to enjoy discounted items every day.

M&S will also take part in the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme which starts on Monday and runs for the month of August.

This will give customers at participating restaurants a whopping 50 percent off their bill when dining in on Mondays to Wednesdays.

This will cut the price of some of Marks's most popular items.

A flat white will go from £2.70 to £1.18 through the scheme with a bacon bun dropping from £3.75 to £1.64.

The price of smashed Avocado on toast has been slashed from £4.50 to £1.97 on Mondays to Wednesdays and tomato & basil soup has gone from £4.25 to £1.86.
