As the New Year unfolds, the Ashby Baggers Cornhole Club is excited to announce the return of our weekly club nights, kicking off the 2024 season on Tuesday, January 9.

The familiar venue of the Everyone Active Leisure Centre in Ashby De La Zouch will once again echo with the thuds and cheers of cornhole bags!

From 7 pm to 10 pm, members and newcomers alike are welcomed back to the spirit of fun and friendly competition that defines the Ashby Baggers.

January: A Month of Free Open Trials

Continuing the tradition of inclusivity and community engagement, the Ashby Baggers are extending an open invitation to anyone interested in learning cornhole. Throughout January, every Tuesday night will host open free trial sessions. It's the perfect opportunity for those curious about the game or looking to refine their skills to come down and be part of the action. Experienced members will be on hand to guide newcomers through the rules and techniques of the game, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

How to Attend: It's Easy!

If you're interested in attending a club night or want to take advantage of the free trial sessions, simply head to the Everyone Active Leisure Centre in Ashby on Tuesday nights between 7 pm and 10 pm. No prior experience is necessary, and equipment is provided – just bring your enthusiasm! For a smoother experience and to help us manage attendance, we encourage prospective players to register their interest on our website or contact us directly.

Looking Ahead: Plans for 2024

The Ashby Baggers are not just about weekly games; we're a growing community with big plans for 2024! Building on the momentum of the previous year, the club is introducing structured memberships from February to support our growth and ensure the sustainability of our activities. Full and Social memberships will be available to cater to the diverse needs of our players, from competitive spirits to social butterflies.

Moreover, we're excited to announce the launch of the Club League starting in February. It's an 8-week competitive league designed to crown the first Ashby Bagger champion of the year. And for those looking for camaraderie and teamwork, a doubles league is also in the works!

The Ashby Baggers are also setting sights beyond the club, with plans to participate in regional qualifiers and host a UK Cornhole League Qualifier in June. It's all about taking the love for cornhole to new heights and showcasing the talent within our ranks.

As we embark on this exciting year, the Ashby Baggers extend a heartfelt invitation to anyone looking to join a vibrant community centred around fun, fitness, and friendship. Check out our website and follow us on social media for the latest updates, and here's to an amazing 2024 of cornhole!
