In a heart-warming ceremony at the local leisure centre, the founding members of the Ashby Baggers Cornhole Club, Adam Knight and Andy Clayfield, presented a club shirt to Duncan Gibb contract manager of the North West Leicestershire contract for Everyone Active.

This token of appreciation symbolises more than just gratitude; it represents a thriving partnership that has propelled the sport of cornhole into the community's spotlight.

Duncan Gibb, known for his visionary approach in promoting community sports, has been instrumental in fostering the growth of the Ashby Baggers.

His belief in the potential of cornhole as an inclusive sport has been a game-changer.

Thanks to Everyone Active's support, the Ashby Baggers have not only found a home, but have also witnessed unprecedented growth in a remarkably short period.

Cornhole, a sport where skill and strategy eclipse age and physical prowess, has become a unifying activity in Ashby.

Everyone Active's partnership has been pivotal, providing essential equipment and venue sponsorship. This support has been crucial in bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy this engaging and accessible sport.

The pinnacle of this collaboration is the announcement that the Ashby Baggers, buoyed by their partnership with Everyone Active, have secured the rights to host one of the UK's largest cornhole tournaments - the Stage 3 Qualifier of the UK Cornhole League.

This prestigious event, to be held at the local leisure centre, is not just a milestone for the club but also a significant opportunity to shine a spotlight on Ashby and the wider community.

The benefits of the partnership extend beyond the tangible.

It has cultivated a sense of community spirit, bringing people together in a fun and competitive environment. Duncan Gibb and Everyone Active have shown that with the right support and vision, local sports clubs can thrive and make a substantial impact in their communities.

As the Ashby Baggers continue to grow and welcome new members, the club extends an open invitation to anyone interested in being part of this exciting journey.

Whether you are a seasoned player or new to the game, the Ashby Baggers offer a welcoming community and a chance to be part of something special.
