Woman Wanted In Connection With Coalville Purse Theft: Stolen Card Used In Ashby Shops

North West Leicestershire Police have released pictures of a woman they want to speak to in connection with the theft of a purse on February 8 - an incident that received nationwide coverage after an appeal by Thringstone couple Pauline and Geoffrey Walker.

The elderly husband and wife issued their famous tearful online plea for the return of a purse after it was stolen in Coalville Coalville Couple Win £1,000 On TV Show

The incident happened in the Belvoir Shopping Centre in Coalville, sometime between 11.15am and 2pm.

After the purse was taken a bank card was used in Ashby to make payments at two different shops.

Police posted on their Facebook page on Monday: "Do you recognise this woman?"
