Ashby Town Council Community Clean-Up
As part of the Love Your Neighbourhood Scheme, Ashby Town Council have organised a community litter pick and dog fouling awareness event taking place in the town centre this weekend.
Running from 10am to 12pm, residents are invited to join the council to give the town some love, making it cleaner for everyone to enjoy.
To take part, there is no need to sign up, just head to either the South Street entrance to the bath grounds or outside Ashby Leisure Centre car park at 9.30am on Saturday.
Equipment will be provided, including bin bags, gloves and litter pickers, but the council ask anyone who can to bring their own as stock is limited.
Ibstock Soul Club
Ibstock Soul Club is back with Motown: A Sensational Night of 60s and 70s Soul Music at The Central Bar in Ibstock.
Taking place on Saturday 20 June from 7.30pm, join resident DJs Richard John and Rob Gray and guest DJ John Barker for a night of incredible vinyl music.
Car Show at Moira Furnace
Following the success of the first full Car Show in 2024, it's back for the third year, welcoming motorbikes, cars or tractors for a fun day out.
Check out the cars on display, enjoy great local food and drink, live music and even a canal boat ride.
Bull Fest 2026
The Bulls Head is holding the first ever 'Bull Fest' on Saturday 20 June, which will be a free to attend community event with family-friendly entertainment and activities, food, live music and a princess meet and greet.
The event is raising money for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, charity offering children's hospice care across the East Midlands.
Rainbow Hospice provides expert palliative and end-of-life care of babies, children and young people at their hospice, at home and in-hospital as well as supporting families across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.
All the proceeds from face painting, the charity raffle, donations and additional fundraising activities will be donated to Rainbows Hospice.
On the day, Bull Fest will have live music all day from 2pm, with a great line-up of local talent throughout the day and into the evening.
There will also be the opportunity for a princess meet-and-greet, plaster figure painting from Childhood Dreams Parties, face painting with Fantastik Faces, a craft tent and kids zone, stilt walkers and roaming entertainment, a bouncy castle, BBQ and jacket potato stand.
