As part of the Love Your Neighbourhood Scheme, Ashby Town Council have organised a community litter pick and dog fouling awareness event taking place in the town centre this weekend.

Running from 10am to 12pm, residents are invited to join the council to give the town some love, making it cleaner for everyone to enjoy.

To take part, there is no need to sign up, just head to either the South Street entrance to the bath grounds or outside Ashby Leisure Centre car park at 9.30am on Saturday.

Equipment will be provided, including bin bags, gloves and litter pickers, but the council ask anyone who can to bring their own as stock is limited.

This community activity is a great opportunity to give back and take pride in the local area, as well as meet new people and get involved in something a bit different.
