This weekend's Ashby events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - there is something for everyone. This week includes: Oktoberfest at Tollgate Brewery, live music and street food at Brew, Ashby Big Clean Up and more.

Ashby Big Clean Up

This Saturday 27th September, a team of volunteers are descending on Ashby Town Centre to give it some much-needed love to create a more welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Meeting at by Paddington at 9am, volunteers and town councillors will be helping sweep, weed and litter pick outside all the shop fronts and pavements.

Retailers will also be getting involved cleaning up their shop fronts, windows and base boards.

Afterwards, there will be refreshments for volunteers provided by Zimani's.

Weekend events at Brew

As always, Brew has a busy weekend of events with Nick Wallbank performing as part of their Live Music Friday on 26 September.

Their popular street food pop-up will be Feast of the East, a brand new vendor. This will take place on Saturday between 4pm to 8pm.

On Sunday, their Lazy Sunday Afternoon Acoustic Session will take place from 3pm with Will Underwood.

Autumn Wedding Showcase at The Lyric Rooms

Ashby's The Lyric Rooms are holding a free to attend autumn showcase of their beautiful wedding venue.

This is a great opportunity for anyone planning a wedding to explore their special venue, speak to the team and get a real feel for the space.

Attendees will get a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival and can enjoy a relaxed show-around of the New Chapel and Main Hall.

Oktoberfest at The Milking Parlour

The Milking Parlour at Tollgate Brewery is holding their first ever Oktoberfest, bringing a taste of Bavaria to Calke.

Attendees can expect new and old German-style Tollgate cask and keg beers, as well as German guest beers, BBQ and Pizza specials and live music.

Code44 Gig at The White Hart

Code44 will be performing at The White Hart on Saturday from 9pm.

They describe their music as 'Rock, Pop and Roll', performing locally across the East Midlands.
