Teenager in hospital with 'serious injuries' after car hits tree in Appleby Magna - as police issue appeal

A 15-year-old boy is in hospital with injuries described as 'serious' after a car hit a tree in Appleby Magna on Saturday afternoon.
Now, Leicestershire Police are appealing for the driver of another vehicle to come forward.
Following the collision, on Tamworth Road near Measham, a 16-year-old was arrested, along with a 15-year-old girl.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said today (Sunday): "We received a call at 1.56pm yesterday (Saturday 24 May) following a collision on Tamworth Road after a blue Ford Fiesta left the road and collided with a tree.
"Travelling inside the vehicle were three people.
"One – a 15-year-old boy – sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
"The other two sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

"A 16-year-old youth has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving while a 15-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
"Both have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
"Officers are keen to speak to the driver of a vehicle which was overtaken by the Fiesta shortly before the collision."
Detective Constable Adam Bancroft, who is the investigating officer, added: "We know that the Fiesta was travelling towards Measham and shortly before the collision, overtook another vehicle.
"We would like to speak to this driver in particular or anyone else who may have seen the Fiesta prior to the collision.
"Alternatively, if you have any dash cam footage which may have captured something related to this incident, then please also get in touch."
