Fire Crews from Ashby and Coalville were called to this car crash in Swepstone in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Ashby Fire Station released photos of the smash which occurred between 4-5am.

Swepstone Road was closed around the junction with Gallows Lane following the incident.

A man was taken to hospital but his injuries are not said to be life threatening - however it is clear from the photos that the front half of the vehicle has been completely wrecked.

But Ashby Fire Service posted on their Facebook page: "In the early hours this morning crews from Ashby and Coalville Fire Stations were called out to this RTC near Swepstone.

"When driving please always consider our Fatal 4 message - SEATBELTS , MOBILE PHONE , DRINK AND DRUG DRIVING AND SPEEDING.

"Any one of these four things done whilst driving could be fatal to anyone in the vehicle."

A Leicestershire Police spokesperson added: "The collision involved a single vehicle. A man was taken to the trauma unit at the Queen's Medical Centre, in Nottingham. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
