Moira Co-op is offering to delivery essential food to elderly people in the area during the Storm Dennis floods.

Heavy rain has affected routes in the area and store manager Mitchell Brookes posted on Spotted Moira: "Morning! I thought with how poor the roads are and the flooding being so bad that I would offer to personally deliver and provide essentials of milk, bread, etc, if the elderly, etc, are in need.

"Please drop me a message on Facebook @Mitchell Brookes. I'm the store manager for Moira Co-op and if I can help, I will! Stay safe everyone!"

Mitchell then told Ashby Nub News: "I've taken a few pictures on my journey, but came across five roads that were horrid.

"You simply can't get through."

Storm Dennis brought heavy overnight rain to the Ashby area and closed some routes.
