Storm Dennis has brought overnight flooding to the Ashby area.

And rain was continuing to fall on Sunday morning.

Social media reports indicated road closures in Measham and Moira.

The Spotted: Measham site says: "Ashby Road is flooded just past the garage. Currently impassable. Does anyone in the village remember this happening in the past? Only seems to have started flooding here in last few months."

And the Spotted Moira site is carrying a photo from Castle Garage of Bath Lane which is also closed due to floods.

The garage says: "Chris, owner of Castle Garage, as part of the Leicestershire 4x4 response group has been called out already this morning (Sunday, 7.25am)!

"Please do not drive through the deep water today, it puts your car at risk of unnecessary damage but more importantly it puts yourself and those who come to rescue you at risk.

"Castle Garage will be back open tomorrow to fix the damage this storm is creating to vehicles!"
