Storm Dennis: Driver Rescued From Car By Ashby Fire Service

A driver was rescued from a car after becoming stuck in flood water on the outskirts of Ashby.

Firefighters from Ashby Station came to the occupants' aid on Willesley Lane between Ashby and Donisthorpe

This road is closed due to flooding.

Ashby fire service posted a warning on their Facebook page along with an image of the stranded car.

They said: "Please don't ignore road closure signs and please do not drive through flood water."

A number of roads have bene closed in the Ashby area and drivers have been urged to take extra care when travelling.
