Police Issue Photo Of Man They Want To Speak To In Connection With Ashby Assault

Police have released a photo of a man they want to speak to in connection with an assault in Market Street, Ashby.

The incident happened in December and North West Leicestershire Police believe this man can help their enquiries.

Police posted the following on their Facebook page on Monday.

"Do you recognise this man?

"Officers investigating a report of assault in Market Street, Ashby, would like to speak to him in connection with the incident.

"It happened at around 10.15pm on Saturday 7 December.

"The victim, a man in his 30s, was punched to the head and then kicked when he fell to the floor.

"Detective Constable Michael Steer, the investigating officer, said: 'Do you recognise the man pictured, or is that person you?

"If you know the man, then please get in touch as I believe he has information that could help my investigation.'"
