As holiday habits shift in a post-pandemic world, UK travellers are rediscovering the charm of the great British staycation and caravan holidays are leading the charge. One local business at the heart of this trend is Willow Tree Holidays, based just minutes from the popular seaside resort of Ingoldmells, on the Lincolnshire coast.

Run by local business owner Carla Garey, Willow Tree Holidays offers welcoming, pet-friendly static caravans that blend comfort with coastal charm. Set in clean, family-friendly holiday parks, the caravans provide an ideal base for couples, families, or solo travellers looking to explore sandy beaches, amusements, nature trails, and classic British seaside attractions, all just a short drive from Skegness.

Carla started the business with a clear mission: to create an affordable, flexible alternative to expensive overseas travel, where families can stay together, unwind, and enjoy real quality time.

"I wanted to offer something that didn't cost the earth — something that brings people together without the pressure of flights, hotels or tight itineraries," Carla explains. "A place where people can just breathe out and feel at home."

The appeal of UK caravan holidays is growing — even celebrities are on board. Coleen Rooney recently praised the simplicity and nostalgia of British holiday parks, calling them ideal for making "the best memories with the kids."

At Willow Tree Holidays, the guest experience is front and centre. The caravans are fully equipped, comfortable, and many are pet-friendly, so four-legged family members are welcome too. It's this home-from-home feeling that keeps guests coming back year after year.

Carla recalls one moment that stayed with her:

"One little boy asked if he could live in the caravan forever, his mum told me he cried when they left! It's those moments that remind me why I do this."

"We've seen couples, grandparents, and even solo guests come back year after year," Carla says. "That means a lot."

As the summer season gets into full swing, availability is limited, and booking early is advised. Willow Tree Holidays have a selection of 13 beautiful holiday caravans, offering pet-friendly getaways to the seaside.

Willow Tree Holidays also now have a new caravan on the Grange Hill Holiday Park called Oak Village 17, that will have extended opening from March to January with great availability for anyone looking for a get away outside of school holidays.
