Music leads the way this weekend with a number of live acts performing in and around Ashby on Friday and Saturday.

The White Hart has two gigs - with Sold on Soul playing on Friday night - and Animal Room on Saturday.

The Plough on the Green has local singer Jordan Eagles playing live on Saturday night.

Specialising in classic rock, pop, and dance genres, Jordan brings a unique and dynamic energy to every performance.

The powerful vocals and stage presence combine to create an electrifying atmosphere, drawing music enthusiasts into an immersive journey through the sounds of the past and present.

Tonight, (Thursday), the Greener Cleaning Workshop comes to The Health Workshop, in Rushton's Yard, Ashby.

This is an introduction to a cleaner and greener home environment using eco-friendly cleaning products.

With no toxins or preservatives, natural cleaning is safe for everyday use. Know exactly what you are putting on your surfaces – particularly good to know if there are small children or pets in the house.

The workshop will take a detailed look at three key ingredients; citric acid, bicarbonate of soda and soda crystals together with washing up and laundry alternatives which will form the perfect platform on which to begin the transformation from toxins to a natural cleaning regime.

A wide range of products will be available to purchase on the evening to get you started.

Brew in Market Street has street food on Saturday with Karke Lebanese this week's guest.

They will be serving their delicious flat breads and other Lebanese delights for eating in or takeaway.

On Sunday, Brew's weekly Lazy Sunday Afternoon session is back.

This week, it will be Chloe Ann Gleaves playing live.

Next Wednesday, Ashby Film Club is showing Wonka.

Wonka tells the backstory of Roald Dahl's strange and reclusive character. Timothée Chalamet is charm itself as the young Wonka determined to make his fortune with the chocolate recipes invented by his mum (Sally Hawkins).

He faces opposition and imprisonment as he shakes up the stagnant chocolate business with his new chocolatey ideas. This five-star film includes a great supporting cast including Hugh Grant, Olivia Coleman, Rowan Atkinson.
