A man, 25, has been arrested on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle in Moira.

Last month, Leicestershire Police issued the CCTV image of a man they wanted to speak to after a car was stolen from Marquis Drive, on May 3.

The vehicle, a grey Land Rover Discovery, was stolen in broad daylight.

But a post on the Leicestershire Police website today (Thursday) said: "The man in the image has now been identified and enquiries into the theft are continuing.

"A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and is currently on police bail.

"Police would like to thank everyone who shared the appeal and came forward with information."
