MP's new role in House of Commons 'does not change commitment to North West Leicestershire'
By Grace Kennington 31st Mar 2026
Amanda Hack, MP for North West Leicestershire, has announced her new appointment within the House of Commons but wants to assure her constituents that the new role will not draw her attention away from her commitment to North West Leicestershire.
In a statement published by Amanda Hack this morning, she shared she has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to Sir Alan Campbell, Leader of the House of Commons.
Hack said: 'For those wondering what this means, a PPS is an MP who supports a member of the government with their work in Parliament.
'It offers valuable experience working closely with the government. The Leader of the House of Commons has one of the broadest roles in Parliament, organising government business, setting the agenda whilst answering questions from MPs each week on any topic.
'Importantly, this new role does not change my commitment to North West Leicestershire. I will continue to be just as available and dedicated to representing you as I have since July 2024.'
