Upcoming road works on the A42 from Ashby

National Highways have announced upcoming lane closure on the A42 near Ashby, as part of wider works across the country.
A lane closure will be in place on the A42, northbound and southbound, affecting the slip-roads, lanes and lay-bys.
The works will be taking place at night between 13 April and 30 May, from 9pm to 7am to minimise impact on drivers.
The works are mainly focussed on checking the safety of the barriers and carrying out any necessary repairs.
During this time, expect delays on A42 north and southbound, and between M42 junction 12 and M1 junction 23a.
