Melbourne man has raised over £2,000 for local Sailability Trust by undergoing open-water swim

Mark Arjoo, who is a member of the Rotary Club of Ashby de la Zouch Castle, completed his longest open-water swim to date, swimming 5km at the Castle Swim at Belvoir Castle Lakes on 19th July.
Mark's swim has so far raised over £2,000 on his GoFundMe for Staunton Harold Sailability Trust.
This local charity based in Melbourne offers water-based activities for disabled people of all ages and their families. This includes trying sailing, powerboat trips, katakanus and more.
They have also built a brilliant community of volunteers that dedicate their time to creating memorable experiences for individual families to cherish and the valuable opportunity to build confidence and try something new. Hosting barbecues, awards nights and land-based activities to accompany their usual activities, Sailability gives disabled children and adults and their loved one's support, independence and a safe space to try something new.
The Staunton Harold Sailability Trust are currently raising funds to replace the hoist they use that allows them to life people in and out of boats, such as wheelchair users or individuals with limited ability, allowing them to take part in activities that they would not otherwise be able to.
If you would like to support Mark's fundraising effort for this incredible local cause, visit the GoFundMe page to donate.
