On Saturday 9th August, Ashby Town Centre came alive with live music, bright outfits and an incredible sense of pride and community.

This year was the third annual Ashby Pride, bigger and better than previous years, featuring performances from local drag queens, dance groups and bands, with tribute acts, brightly decorated windows, a dog costume competition and a brilliant selection of stalls and local businesses getting into the spirit of the day.

The celebration took place on Ashby's Market Street and Brook Street, with many of the shops and bars on these and the ajoining roads getting involved with activities, events and decorations.

Winner Shadow being presented with his prize basket

Ashby Pride kicked off with a Dog Costume Catwalk with Natural Hounds on Rushton Yard. This gave dogs and their owners the chance to strut there stuff in the hopes of winning a rosette and goodie basket from Natural Hounds.

The winner was Shadow, but lots of proud-pooches showed up in brilliant rainbow outfits.

This year was also the first time there was two stages, with the main stage at the bottom of Market Street and a new-for-2025 community stage at the top of Market Street.

Thank you to the organisers of Ashby Pride for all their hard work pulling off such a brilliant day - we're already looking forward to 2026!
