Man is taken to hospital following 'serious collision' in Donisthorpe: Police appeal for witnesses

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after a 'serious collision' in Donisthorpe on Friday.

Detectives are now appealing for information about the incident.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said: "Police were called at 10.20pm on September 16 by East Midlands Ambulance Service following a collision in Willesley Lane.

"It involved a white Ford Focus ST which left the road and collided with a tree.

"The driver, a man in his 20s, has been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

"Road closures were in place which have since been lifted.

"Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, saw the vehicle beforehand or have a dashcam footage which may have captured anything related to the incident is asked to get in touch.
