Police charge two people - one with attempted murder - after Moira stabbing incident

Leicestershire Police have charged two people after a woman was stabbed in Moira earlier this week.

Amy Redfern, 27, of Sweethill, Moira, has been charged with attempted murder and three counts of possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

Filipe Dix, 27, of Stanley Road, Nuneaton, has been charged with assisting an offender.

Both have been remanded into custody to appear before Leicester Magistrates' Court today (Friday 6 May).

The charges relate to an incident where a 28-year-old woman was stabbed just after 8am on Tuesday, May 3.

The woman was treated at hospital and has since been discharged.
