Man, 28, arrested after morning drugs raid at property on Ashby housing estate

A man was arrested at a property in Ashby on suspicion of intending to supply Class B drugs.

Police raided the house, in Flora Grove, shortly after 8.30am yesterday (Tuesday) and a substance suspected to be cannabis was taken away.

A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police told Ashby Nub News: "At 8.35am on Tuesday, October 12, police executed a Misuse of Drugs warrant at a property in Flora Grove, Ashby.

"Entry was gained to the property. No damage was caused.

"A 28-year-old man, from Ashby, was arrested on suspicion of possession of class B drugs with intent to supply.

"He has since been released under investigation.

"An amount of suspected cannabis was recovered from the property. Enquiries remain ongoing."
