Firefighters Wanted: Ashby Station Looking For Recruits

Ashby Fire Station is recruiting and will be announcing opening dates soon.

The station held its latest Tuesday night training this week and published photos on its Facebook page.

And there was an explanation as to what was going on at the Wilfred Place venue - along with an invitation for anyone who wants to train as a firefighter.

They posted: "This evening we have had input on the new National Operational Guidance training, we have put our skills to practice using pumps, ladders and breathing apparatus.

"As well as regular training the firefighters at Ashby station attend on average 350 emergency calls a year.

"If you live in the Ashby area, want to become a firefighter and help people in your local community the next On-Call recruitment opens soon!

"Keep a look out for the opening dates via our Facebook page."
