Ashby's Rebound Inflatable Park is re-opening today (Saturday) - with health, safety and hygiene a 'number one priority'.

The Smisby Road-based venue was told at the start of the month that it must delay opening its doors due to revised Government Covid-19 guidelines Ashby venue told it must stay closed for now.

But Rebound has now announced it can open today (August 15).

The Park's official website and a post on its Facebook page gives details of the safety measures that have been put in place.

Rebound's message says: "We're sorry to those customers that have wanted to visit us in the last couple of weeks - we can confirm we are opening.

"We will be implementing additional safety measures to our current procedures to be able to welcome you back.

"Health, safety and hygiene is our number one priority. With this in mind, there will be changes to the way we operate. The following procedures will come in to effect:

  • Ages 2-6 MUST be supervised by a full paying adult on 1:1 basis
  • Contactless payments where possible
  • One way marked systems
  • Dedicated cleaners
  • Ballpit slide closures
  • Sanitiser stations
  • Protective screens
  • Staff PPE
  • Masks welcome
  • Pre-booking only
  • Waivers completed at home in advance

"In addition to this, we will be cleaning our inflatables with Virol-Oxy on top of procedures that we already have in place. For further information, please visit the website Virol Oxy.

"We are so excited to welcome you back!"
