A burglary and crime prevention event is being held at the Tesco Superstore in Ashby this morning (Saturday) between 10-12am.

You can get advice on how to protect your property and prevent crime during the winter months and the darker nights.

Representatives from Leicestershire Police, North West Leicestershire Police, Leicestershire Fire Service, Ashby Town Council and North West Leicestershire District Council will be on hand with information.

The event has been set up in response to burglary and vehicle crime in the region.

You will be able to get locksmith demonstrations, advice for van owners, advice on how to prevent keyless vehicle theft and rural vehicle crime prevention advice among other wide ranging crime prevention issues.
