The Bulls Head in Ashby is inviting all local children to get involved in their Poppy Drawing Competition, hoping to engage children in Remembrance Day, learning about history and community.

Between 1 and 7 November, children can bring their poppy drawings into the pub to be included in their Poppy Display Wall.

Remembrance Day is being marked in Ashby with parades and services at St Helen's Church and Holy Trinity.

The art competition means that children can get involved in the marking of this important occasion, learning about the meaning behind the poppy and the sacrifices they represent.

Entries for this competition must be taken into the Bull's Head between 1 and 7 November for judging on Sunday 9 November.

The winning entry will receive a free session at Rebound in Ashby.
