Ashby man arrested and charged with assault and criminal damage offences after weekend incident

An Ashby man has been charged with a number of offences following an incident in Churchill Close last Friday evening.

He will now appear before magistrates in Leicestershire later this month after he was arrested.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Ashby Nub News: "A 27-year-old man, of Abbey Close, Ashby, has been charged with threats to commit criminal damage, assault, common assault and public order.

"He is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 24.

"The charge relates to an incident in the Churchill Close area on Friday (August 5)."
