The Ashby Gift Card has launched a new festive competition as part of a drive to encourage local shopping this Christmas.

The 'Win Your Dream Christmas' competition offers a chance to win a £1,000 Ashby Gift Card. 

Ashby's gift card launched in August as a means of supporting local businesses, driven by Ashby Business Improvement District (BID).

Over 50 businesses accept the Ashby Gift Card including Souk de la Zouch, Zamani's, Ashby Jewellers and The Dressing Room.  

Stuart Benson, BID Manager, said: "Christmas is fast approaching and a £1,000 Ashby Gift Card would be a wonderful prize for anyone this festive season.

"With a £1,000 Ashby Gift Card, the winner could stock the cupboards with tasty treats from Indulgent Chocolates.

"They could get Christmas ready with pampering at Uruku Beauty and The Temple Hair and Beauty Bar, and new clothes from London & Harley and Pink of Ashby.

"And they could treat the family to a Christmas get-together at The Vine, the White Hart or La Zouch Restaurant.

"The Ashby Gift Card was introduced to enhance shop local efforts, so we can try to preserve what we have in Ashby and build a stronger Ashby for the future.

"The reality is that the cost of living crisis means it's hard for everyone right now, including businesses who are battling with increased costs.

"Every Ashby Gift Card purchased is money that is locked into our town, ready to be spent with an array of local businesses.

"We're also pleased to be able to offer the digital version of the Ashby Gift Card, alongside the physical version of the Ashby Gift Card.

The Ashby Gift Card is part of the award winning Town & City Gift Card concept from fintech Miconex, active in over 150 places across the world. 

Ending on Monday, November 28, the Win Your Dream Christmas competition is offering one winner a £1,000 discount code to use on the Town & City Gift Cards website.

The winner can select local gift cards from one or more of the 80 plus Town & City Gift Cards in the UK and Ireland, physical or digital, up to the value of £1,000 – including the Ashby Gift Card.
