Ashby de la Zouch Town Council is offering a warm space at its South Street offices for people struggling to come to terms with the cost of living crisis.

With fuel bills rising sharply, and the winter months lying ahead, the Town Council says it will be opening its doors every morning during the week at Legion House, South Street, Ashby de la Zouch, LE65 1BQ

A social media post from the council says the space will be based in Room 4 downstairs and is open 9am -1pm Monday to Friday

The post adds: "Warm space and hot drinks provided.

"The reception is on the first floor. If guests could pop upstairs to let us know they are here please.

"This is so we can make a note of numbers in the event of a fire or emergency - and also so that we can make hot drinks to order.

"There is a lift access for anyone with mobile issues."
