The Met Office have put in place an amber weather warning for snow in Ashby from 8-m on Thursday 8 January to 9am on Friday.
The weather warning is in place across the East Midlands, warning of heavy snow likely leading to disruption and dangerous travelling conditions, caused by Storm Goretti.
Rain associated with Storm Goretti will turn to snow on Thursday morning, says the Met Office, with 10-15cm of snow likely across the area.
This, along with icy road conditions, will likely cause disruption to road and rail.
Keep up to date with ongoing weather updates via the Met Office website.
