Saffron Catering, a thriving local business based in Appleby Magna is looking for full time and casual staff to join their busy team.

The business offers thoughtful, high quality catering for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events across the East Midlands, priding themselves in their professionalism, excellent customer service and thorough behind-the-scenes planning.

They are currently hiring two full time positions, as well as looking for casual service staff, bar staff and pot washers.

Operations Assistant

This full-time role is ideal for someone looking for a job in the catering industry that is passionate about food, loves interacting with different people and can work well as a dynamic team.

Previous experience working in catering is not essential as full training will be provided for working on both the front and back lines with service, prep work and helping to execute an event seamlessly.

They are looking for someone that can:

• Be a hard worker who is not afraid of heavy lifting and prep work
• Have a friendly and approachable attitude with a genuine passion for customer service
• Be a great communicator, comfortable engaging with guests and colleagues
• Be able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Have strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help out in all areas when needed
• Show attention to detail, ensuring orders are correct and areas are clean and presentable
• Be flexible and willing to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Previous experience in a hospitality setting is a plus, but not required—we'll provide full training

Candidates must be over the age of 21 with a manual driving licence and have their own transport.

Event Chef

This role involves working full-time (five days out of seven) across the Saffron HQ in Appleby Magna and at weddings and events across the Midlands.

They are looking for a 'dedicated, organised and enthusiastic chef' with ideally two or more years experience in a professional kitchen that can deliver high-quality event catering.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about great food that works well in fast-paced environment and thrives as part of a friendly, hardworking team.

Candidates for this role must also be over the age of 21 with a manual driving licence and have their own transport.
