Ashby Ivanhoe FC have continued their rebuild by appointing Conrad Corrolan as their new Midweek Floodlit Under 18 Manager.

Conrad already has an association with the club after managing the Under17s team.

Now Ivanhoe are looking to re-establish their status in the Midweek Floodlit Under18 League.

Club Chairman, Stuart Bonser, said: "It is with great pleasure that the club has appointed Conrad Corrolan to the position of Manager for the Midweek Under18 Floodlit Team.

"Conrad has been associated with the club for last few years as the Manager of our Under 17s team and this appointment recognises his commitment to establishing an elite squad of young players from our youth section and with the aim of progressing them into Senior football at the Club. We wish Conrad and his team every success in the future"

Conrad added: "I have been involved in the club for a number of years and this is a new and exciting challenge for me.

"Development of young players is a core element of the club's ethos and my own, and I look forward to getting on with the job. I am excited about how the club is moving forward and I'm pleased to be a part of it.

"I would like to thank Ashby Ivanhoe Football Club and Chairman Stuart Bonser for giving me this opportunity."

The club are proud to have a committed structure that encourages players to progress at 'one club' from Junior/Youth football into Senior football - and the Midweek team is the link.

It offers players the opportunity to play under floodlights and against competitive opposition.

The club's First Team Manager Andy Gray added: "I would personally like to congratulate Conrad on his appointment, along with his management team.

"Since my return to the club I've witnessed the good work that he's been doing and I believe he's the perfect fit for this new role.

"I look forward to working closely with him as we develop the relationship between Senior and Junior football at Ashby Ivanhoe.'
