This weekend's Ashby events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - there is something for everyone. This week includes: Open Gardens, Live Music, Spanish Night and more bank holiday fun.

Packington Open Gardens

Ten gardens will be open on Monday 25th August as part of Packington Open Gardens, along with a History Group display in Holy Rood Church.

Along with cream teas, refreshments and icecreams, there will be a series of stalls selling second-hand books, bric-a-brac and local honey.

To keep the little ones entertained, there will also be a treasure hunt.

Two of the gardens will have live music and the Village Duck Race at Mill Street at 5.30pm (with tickets available from 4.30pm)

Spanish Evening at Lil Bo's Deli

Lil Bo's Deli on Mill Lane Mews is hosting an evening on Spanish food and wine on Friday 22nd August from 7pm.

The evening will include eight courses of Spanish tapas paired with beautiful Spanish wines, including a glass of sparkly to kick off the evening and dessert to finish.

Bank Holiday at Brew

As always, Brew have a busy weekend of events in Ashby, with extra going on this weekend to mark the Bank Holiday.

There will be an Open Mic Night on Thursday 21st August from 7pm, hosted by Gareth Humphreys.

This will be followed by a pop-up from Street Food Emporium between 4pm and 8pm on Saturday, serving up gourmet hotdogs from their The Dogfather menu.

On Friday Night from 8pm, Brew will host a Live Music night with Ryan Atter.

Finally, on Sunday 24th August, Brew will be hosting their Summer Bank Holiday Party with live music all day from 2pm, celebrating the last bank holiday weekend until Christmas. Music will be performed by Chris Baldwin, Andy Watts and Neil Davison.

Ashfest 2025

Ashfest is returning for 2025 at The Bowling Green Inn on Saturday 23rd August.

The line up includes: Takeboys at 2pm, W4 at 3pm, Dropping Like Flies at 4pm, Red Chevelle at 5pm, Jam Night Collective at 6pm, The Furies at 7pm, Firewater Band at 8pm and a special mystery guest that has not yet been announced.

Tickets to this event are £5 with 100% of the profits being located to local charities. Tickets available behind the bar at the Bowling Green.
