It is Remembrance weekend and Ashby's Market Street service will be held on Sunday, you can find details HERE.

But before that, on Friday, there is the town's Poppy Appeal Concert.

You can join the Ashby Concert Band at 7:30pm at Holy Trinity Church in Kilwardby Street.

Guests the Seaforth Highlanders will also be performing at the event to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Pieces will include music from A Bridge too Far, The Blue and the Gray and the amazing Highland Cathedral with the pipers.

On Saturday night, the Venture Theatre in North Street hosts Ashby Jazz Club.

Playing live will be the Gatsby Go Getters.

This band of great musicians play party music from the 1920s and 30s.
