This weekend's Ashby events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities over Halloween and Oktoberfest, hopefully there is something for everyone.

The Lyric Rooms is celebrating Oktoberfest this Saturday at the Lower Church Street venue.
You can enjoy a three course German-style meal along with an authentic range of award-winning German beers, straight from the barrels.
There is also entertainment from the UK's top multi-instrumental Ukulele, Mandolin and String based covers band The Strumtroopers.
They will be performing irreverent re-imaginings of rock and pop classics from ABBA to The Specials, Depeche Mode to Dolly Parton.
The Strumtroopers are 100 per cent guaranteed to get you singing and dancing along, creating a fantastic atmosphere to enjoy with family and friends.

There are also plenty of Halloween events this weekend in the area.
Charnwood Forest Alpacas at Boundary is having a series of days called Spooktacular Halloween Bash on Thursday, Friday and Monday.
The farmland attraction offers a Petting Farm Scavenger Hunt: Embark on a spine-tingling adventure through our lively petting farm. Prizes await intrepid explorers!
Spooky Craft Activities: Decorate spooky biscuits, salt dough, or maybe even design some paper pumpkins.
Pumpkin Feast for Piggies: Witness a spectacular sight as our pigs enjoy a feast of pumpkins at 12 pm and 3 pm.

Craft beer bar Brew is getting into the Halloween spirit on Saturday night.
The Market Street venue is having a Halloween Party
Fancy dress is optional but there will be a prize for the best effort.
There will also be Halloween-themed street food from Panzerotti House from 4-8pm and live acoustic music from Mollie Ralph.

Brew will also be having its regular Lazy Sunday Afternoon session the following day, this week with Andy Watts and Neil Davison.
There is music of a different kind at St Helen's Church in Ashby on Saturday night.
Sighing to the Skies features songs of pleading, devotion and love by composers including Purcell, Bruckner, Monteverdi, Part and Chilcott.
The concert is being performed by the Cecilian Singers.
