This weekend's Ashby events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities - hopefully there is something for everyone.

Sunday sees the return of the Ashby Sport Fun Day which will again be held on the Bath Grounds.

The day, which runs from 10am until 4pm, brings many of the town's sports clubs together so that they can show what they have to offer.

It is also a chance for you to come and 'have a go' at something you have always wanted to try.

From boxing to bowls, soccer to sailing and cycling to croquet, it is all there on Sunday.

On Saturday and Sunday, Ashby Steam returns to Scamhazel Farm in Boundary, near the junction with the bypass.

The event has something for all the family with steam engines, vintage tractors, historical motor vehicles, stationary engines, miniature steam, funfair and children's entertainment and trade and craft stalls.

Moira Furnace & Country Park is staging a production of Wind in the Willows on Saturday evening.

Boating with Ratty, a feast with Badger, and high jinx on the open road with that reckless ruffian, Mr Toad… Join Mole, Ratty, and Badger on their mad-cap adventures in Quantum Theatre's brand new adaptation of the Kenneth Grahame classic – a treat for all the family.

Over the last two years, Quantum Theatre has been delighting audiences here at the furnace with productions of Treasure Island, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Peter Rabbit, and The Reluctant Dragon.

Conkers has a Tina Turner tribute night on Saturday evening featuring Justine Riddoch and her talented cast.

Supported by her band and dazzling dancing girls in sequins, feathers and diamonds, Justine is the supreme Tina (a National Tribute Music Awards winner since 2013).

There is plenty going on at Brew in Ashby again this weekend.

On Saturday, the Market Street craft bar has pop up food in the shape of Luca Loves Pizza.

And, the next day, Brew's Lazy Sunday Afternoon set this week features Fred Kershaw.

The Ashby String Orchestra will be playing a Summer Concert on Sunday.

This will be held at the Sir John Moore Foundation, Appleby Magna, near Ashby.

There is more live music on Saturday evening at the Charnwood Forest Alpacas site at Boundary.

Get ready to be mesmerised in their vibrant courtyard as they present the extraordinary Olivia Pole, with her soulful tunes and guitar skills.

Immerse yourself in the electrifying atmosphere as Olivia strums the strings, filling the air with captivating melodies.
