What's On in Ashby this weekend

A sporting event that has been missing off the calendar for a few years is among the events on in Ashby over the weekend.

After a two year absence, it's back in its full capacity..!

This Saturday is our Annual FA Cup Day Tournament at the NFU Sports Ground, with 18 teams competing for the Cup, Plate and Wooden Spoon!

Team Registration is open from 11am, with the first four games due to kick off promptly at 11:30am, all teams will progress to at least a quarter final, with the finals wrapping up at around 3:30pm ahead of the cup final which kicks off at 4:45pm.

There is live music at The Greyhound in Boundary when the Four Muppeteers play on Saturday.

They are a covers band from Derby made up of members of other groups.

On Sunday, Brew in Market Street has its regular Lazy Sunday Afternoon session.

This week, it's Steve Bloor playing live. at the Market Street bar.

Also on Sunday, The Lamb Inn hosts a day of soul music.

Ashby Connoisseurs Soul Club is in town and playing some of the best music you may not have heard before.
