What's on in the Ashby area this weekend

Live music, a painting workshop and litter picking are all on the agenda this weekend in the Ashby area.

On Saturday, St Helen's Heritage Centre has the bright and colourful Poppy Hare painting workshop with local artist Sue Gardner.

It costs £80 to book and you can find more details HERE.

All the materials needed for the day are provided,

Spend the day with Sue painting, learning and socialising with a small group of amiable artists and take home your own original version of here Poppy Hare painting size 45cm x 60 cm on canvas.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and improvers alike.

You will experiment with colour mixing, and layering to create a fabulous Hare with wildflowers like this one shown.

The Greyhound in Boundary has more live music on Saturday night in the shape of the Four Muppeters from Derby.

Entrance is free and the pub welcomes walk-ins on the night.

Brew in Market Street has its regular Sunday afternoon acoustic session.

This week, it will be Vocalist and Songwriter Karris D'Miles.

If you fancy some early morning exercise on Sunday morning, as well as making the area look a little tidier, there is a litter pick at 8am organised by the North Leicestershire Litter Wombles.
