Ashby Town Council have been busy improving the Bath Grounds since receiving feedback on key areas for improvement from surveys in 2022 and 2024.

Now, the authority want to know if their work has made a difference.

Feedback from both surveys have led to the town council introducing a memorial bench scheme, installing a wooden play trail, planted new trees, shrubs and flower beds and installed a raised sensory garden.

The 2024 survey feedback highlighted a key local concern about people feeling unsafe in the park, especially in the evenings when it gets dark.

As a result of this feedback, Ashby Town Council have installed additional lighting along the Heritage Trail from South Street to Prior Park.

Now, the town council is seeking feedback on the improvements they've made, as well as residents' experience of the park in general.

The survey is open until 9 October and then the council will look at further possible changes and improvements, dependent on budget.
