Ashby: Moira-based nature group is holding 'Forest Bathing' sessions aimed at teenagers

By Graham Hill 18th Feb 2022

Moira-based nature group Wild Minds is staging Forest Bathing sessions for teenagers next month - and you will not need a swimming costume.

The group will be working with North West Leicestershire Health and Wellbeing Team over a six week programme.

It begins on March 5 and ends on April 9 and is aimed at 14-19 year olds.

Wild Minds says: "We're really excited to be working with North West Leicestershire Health and Wellbeing Team on these Forest Bathing sessions for teenagers.

"Forest Bathing (or Shinrin-Yoku) is a wonderful, slow nature experience where you bathe your senses in the amazingness that is our natural world.

"The sessions will be fun, engaging and hands on at times.

"If you have a young person in your life who needs to connect with nature, get them signed up by contacting Georgia on 01530 454 735 or by emailing [email protected]

"Participants will need to dress for the weather and bring their imagination."

The sessions will be shared between the Moira Furnace and YHA Moira venues. You can view the Wild Minds website HERE.
