WATCH: See How 'Fogged' Overseal Pub Is Taking Steps To Battle Coronavirus

By Graham Hill 1st Oct 2020

A pub in Overseal has released a video to show the specialist measure it is taking to prevent the spread of coronavirus on its premises.

The Robin Hood on Burton Road has been 'fogged' throughout.

This involves spraying the interior of the building with 'electrostatic infection control disinfection.

The pub used its Facebook page to show a Youtube clip of the process which is aimed at keeping customers as safe as possible.

The message reads: "Due to the ever increasing risk of COVID...

"Our pub family of customers have always been our priority to keep them safe in our lovely village.

"Yesterday we had the Robin Hood "fogged" by a specialist company who sprayed the pub all through with a electrostatic infection control disinfection and sanitising protective barrier which lasts 30 days, and we will be doing this every 28 days to ensure we keep us all as safe as we can.

"This spray protects surfaces from COVID so if someone with COVID touches any surface it will kill it automatically.

"It doesn't stop the infection if someone with COVID coughs but with face masks it certainly helps prevent it.

"We would like to really thank all our customers who are complying with the new rules and still enjoying coming to the Robin.

"We are doing our best to keep us all as safe as possible."
